Opinions, Opinions, Opinions...

Opinions are funny

People absolutely love telling other people what they can and cannot do, what they should and should not do.. Friends love advising other friends about friendships, relationships, situationships, professions, side hustles.. It’s an incredible thing, it truly is… To have people in your life who encourage, support, question, probe…

This is incredible, until it’s not.

Intaking so many conflicting opinions leaves one debilitated, confused and utterly lost. Who is right? Who is wrong? They all have the best intentions, yet almost all of them cannot help but begin to project their personal limitations. It’s innocent, but it’s a problem. At a certain point, there has to be a filter. To sift through the advice of many, dig deep about which emotions and thoughts are attempting to surface. Do the hard work of figuring out what is trying to bubble up out of your soul. Who might be the right person to not only pull out the gold, but nurture that thing into maturity?

Think very hard.

Who knows you the best? Who has the best intentions in mind for you? Are they truly thinking of you when speaking about this advice or are they thinking about themselves? Are they speaking to you about your situation through the eyes of you or them? And is there anyone who can mentor you, to see that teeny tiny scary thing into reality?

In the words of young pueblo,

“one of the most important qualities

to develop in life is determination.

at some point you just have to

put your foot down and say,

‘i am going to move in this

new direction and no person

or situation is going to stop me.’

great transformations need a beginning”

I am going to move in this new direction, and no person or situation is going to stop me.

Where are you going?
